Are we that generation?

“Many will rush here and there, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Daniel 12:4)”Many will rush here and there.” Is that not what people are doing now? We all think that we have so much to do that we forget who’s really in charge of our lives. We definitely are not; God is! So, what about this last part, “and knowledge will increase?” Well, has our knowledge increased within the last one hundred years? Take into account these examples: Transportation: Just within the last century we now have automobiles, airplanes, super-sonic flight, and space travel. Communication: From the beginning up on to the 20th century, people used signal flares and other primitive ways to communicate. Now we have…need I say more?!

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come…Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. (Matthew 24:2-14;34)

(If you are reading this blog and you don’t know God, but you would like to, say the prayer below to get started)

Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
